Leavin’ On a Jet Plane

Happy Thanksgiving, friends! We’re up eaaarly and are on our way to the airport! We’ve never flown on the most long-distance travel day of the year…so it should be interested! Yay for direct flights.

It’s basically a miracle that Eric and I got all our stuff in one bag.

We’re going to see my brother, who’s been living in Washington, D.C., since August. I haven’t seen him since he left and I haven’t been to D.C. for 13 years so I’m super excited to take it all in with a new appreciation. Let’s hope my body can handle all the walking!

A big thanks to my parents for making this trip possible. And I’d appreciate your prayers for safe travels, as eight of my favorite people will be on the same exact airplane (the first flight for our three nieces!). You know we’ll be taking lots of photos and will share it with y’all next week.

Enjoy your turkey! And if you’re Norwegian, eat some lefse for me!

I love my husband, my daughter and the Internet.

  1. I went and saw my brother who lives in Richmond, a few hours from DC. We live in Philly so drove, but the traffic was AWFUL. DC traffic was killing us!! Hope your airport experience was better!

  2. I see a Vikings tee–are you guys from the great state of MN?

    • i was born in minnesota and grew up just a few miles from the border. that is one of my favorite sleeping shirts :)

      • It does look like a cozy tee! :)

I just stumbled on your blog a few weeks ago, but I’ve been reading some of your featured content–it’s nice to read from/ “get to know” a solid married couple like yourselves. :) My husband and I are celebrating six months of marriage today.
