What Heaven Will Be Like

Do you ever wonder what heaven will be like?

Sometimes I get in this weird funk where I think it will be boring. Or that we’ll be missing out on what’s going on down on earth.

And when I think about that, heaven actually becomes a place I don’t want to go.

But then I remember that there is no way that can be true.

Because God always keeps His promises.

And then I imagine it all bright and golden, and we’re just all standing around, singing.

And we’re happy.

This darn world has a silly way of making us think that death is the worst thing that could happen to us, when really it just might be the greatest.

Do you think we’ll have houses? That we’ll hang out with our friends and family? That we’ll walk (float?) around?

Hope to see you there.

I love my husband, my daughter and the Internet.

  1. “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” – Rev 21: 1-5

I think it will be beyond anything we could ever imagine.

  2. I think God will give us jobs and purpose in heaven just like he does here on Earth. I also think we will worship him in so many ways not just by singing. I know it will be better than anything we have here on earth, and fill all of the deepest desires of our hearts.

  3. Have you read Randy Alcorn’s book called “Heaven?”. It’s incredible!
