Disney World: Animal Kingdom

Looking back over the itinerary, I am not sure how we packed all of this into one day. Somehow we managed. This was an epic day where the safari meets the amusement park. This was a unique day because both my sister and Kelsey had been to DW before, but neither had been to Animal Kingdom.

We started off with a character breakfast at the Tusker House. We had a fantastic waiter who made our day.

Here is the rest of the itinerary (favorites are bolded and linked):

Supper at POLYNESIAN RESORT: Spirit of Aloha Show

As we were walking to one of our destinations, we saw something moving in the shrubbery to the left of the path. It startled us at first, but then we figured out there was a lady dressed up to blend in. She moves very slowly and eventually crossed the path in the midst of people trying to get from here to there. Sort of like Mother nature. Always around us.

All day long Kaleb really wanted to ride a big roller coaster. And my Mom has never been known for her roller coaster riding skills, but we convinced her to give it a try. After all she just turned 50 and we had been prepping her all year to ride some rides with us. We all went on Expedition Everest, but both Mom and Kaleb said they wouldn't do it again. I thought it was awesome!

After the long day, we topped it off with a Luau at the Spirit of Aloha dinner show. This was a lot of fun. Mom and Kaleb got to go on stage to learn to dance.
